Steven B Wilkinson, MD

Steven B. Wilkinson, MD served nearly thirteen years at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he was a professor of neurological surgery. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, Dr. Wilkinson was an integral part of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Surgery Center. Dr. Wilkinson previously served as interim chairman of the department of neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Wilkinson's post-graduate education includes studying neurosurgery at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's in Chicago, neurotrauma at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and extra-cerebral vascular disease studies at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Wilkinson's experience comes in areas involving movement disorders, specifically in epilepsy and Parkinson's disease. Besides being the principal investigator in research studies, Dr. Wilkinson frequently has published numerous articles lending his insight to medical journals including Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, and Neurosurgical Focus.
