Steve W Waxman, MD

Board-certified urologist, Steve Waxman, MD, FACS, FCLM, delivers adult and pediatric urology care at Jackson County Urology. Prior to joining the group, he served as a United States Army physician. A product of a military family, Dr. Waxman enlisted in the Army in August 2005 and was initially based at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He was deployed to Baghdad in February 2007, where he served until August of that year. Dr. Waxman left active duty in 2008 with two Army commendation medals and a Bronze Star medal. In 2010, he was deployed once again, this time serving in Afghanistan. He was released from active duty in January 2011 at which time he joined the practice. Dr. Waxman is a fellow of American College of Surgeons and of the American College of Legal Medicine. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology, the Society of Genitourinary and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Society of Government Services Urologists.
