H Scott Bjerke, MD

Dr. Scott Bjerke is a fellowship-trained traumatologist. He obtained his medical degree from John A Burns School of Medicine, Honolulu and completed his residency at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston. He was a fellow at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and has served as medical director for both trauma services and trauma intensive care. Dr. Bjerke is a board-certified general surgeon and has taught advanced trauma life support as well as surgery and anatomy. In addition, he has performed as the tactical physician and medical director for the Indianapolis SWAT team, as a race track physician at the Indy 500 and sat on the committee on weapons of mass destruction with the FBI in Las Vegas. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the American Association for the History of Medicine, the American Association for Academic Surgery, the International Society of Police Surgeons and the Midwest Surgical Association among others. Dr. Bjerke is the medical director of Trauma Services at Research Medical Center.
